BOW CHURCH’S 2026 WEEKEND AWAY IS COMING!

ASHBURNHAM PLACE

This is going to be a special time for our whole church family - a chance to step away from the busyness of everyday life and draw near to God and one another. Together we’ll rest, worship, and have fun, as we make space for renewal in His presence.

Over the weekend we’ll share meals, quiet space, and conversations that deepen friendship and faith. It’s a time to be refreshed - body, mind, and spirit - as we listen for God’s voice, encourage one another, and remember what it means to belong to His family.

 

WHERE IS IT?

Ashburnham Place is a beautiful retreat centre in Sussex, 1 hr 30 from East London. With over 200 acres of grounds and gardens. Specialising in church weekends away. They will provide all of our food and drink. This gives us a chance to get out of London, set apart time to spend with God and with each other in beautiful, peaceful surroundings.

HOW WILL ROOMS WORK?

There are 3 different types of rooms; single occupancy with ensuite toilet facilities, shared with a ensuite toilet facilities & shared with shared shower and toilet facilities and shared between 2, 3 or 4 people. Room allocation will be mainly same sex rooms with some exceptions for families. Please include who you would like to share with, if appropriate on your sign up form.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

Gathering on Friday evening, our time together will be a mixture of worship, teaching and times just to have fun and relax together. We’ll conclude the weekend with a Holy Communion Service followed by lunch on Sunday.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Ticket Price

Adult - £200 for a single occupancy room with ensuite, all meals included.

£180 for a space in a shared room with ensuite bathroom

£150 for a space in a shared room with shared bathroom

Kids - £110, all meals included.

We want everyone who wants to come to be able to, so if paying outright is not possible then there are two options:

  1. Pay in 3 instalments due 6th December, 17th January and 21st February. Please fill out the email form if you would like to explore this option.

  2. Speak to Phoebe or fill out the email form if you would like to discuss a bursary.
